This is for a friend on Form I-130 Affidavit of Support.

Sponsor has no income, and co-sponsor barely make it.

- Will the Consular officer deny the visa ? Or give second chance to find a another co-sponsor(high income co-sponsor) ?

It is completely up to the CO's discretion on whether or not they think the beneficiary will become a public charge or not. If it were me, I would secure a co-sponsor that earned more than just barely meeting the requirement. They would most likely allow them to provide a co-sponsor that earns more. Does the consulate they will go through tend to give the 221g and offer the chance to provide whatever might be missing, or do they have a history of outright denying? Hopefully someone with experience from your consulate can come along to answer that.

Long story short, he prefer this barely-make-it co-sponsor, which raise this question.

I am hoping someone having first hand experience coming along and answer it. His fiancee is going to have an interview soon.
