Hello Good Day All - so it looks like I will need a co-sponsor for our K1 visa.

Will I have to have the original signed I-134 Form (Affidavit of Support) from the co-sponsor. Mine will be in northern US and may not be able to get me the original paperwork before I leave this Wednesday for Jamaica. Is a scanned signed original acceptable?

Thank for any help.

That might easily work but also, just as easily not work. Let them overnight it by ups. That is the safest route. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks Pink - I am praying I don't have to use the paperwork but I will have it ready if they require it. I would prefer to handle things ourselves but we will see how it plays out. I leave for JA tomorrow so its getting really exciting. Soon we will know if we can share our lives or not. Bless everyone on their journey.

Does K-1 use co-sponsor?

You need to check it out because I recently read a thread where the person went to the interview (not Jamaica) and was given a blue slip and told that they have to wait until the sponsor earns at least the minimum amount and the CO mentioned something about 'public charge' and cosponsor cannot be used for K-1.

Hope you get a compassionate CO for the interview who will overlook this.

Yes, others have obtained and were required to get a co-sponsor from JA. They stated it in their threads.
