This site is full of glitches and bugs. I don't have any problem with any other forums but here it is pretty bad.

Wow it almost seems as if the YouTube user who uploaded this (somebody named J Pararajasingham, which seems to be a Sri Lankan name) has tried to compile examples of the most extreme/controversial opinions he/she could find, while completely ignoring opposing views within the Islamic mainstream, as well as the debate over many of these topics. It almost seems if J Pararajasingham has some kind of agenda to portray Islam in the most negative light possible, without any other considerations.

Anyway, I will indulge you for a few moments and comment on the clips, in order of appearance:

#1. Google "Music haram" and "Music not haram" and consider the wide range of Islamic opinions on the subject. There is hardly a consensus on the subject. And if you had ever actually been to a predominantly Muslim country, you would immediately notice how popular music is - it's all over the radio, the TV, playing in taxis and shops... It would seem that the opinions of this guy are not convincing the masses, nor very many Muslims at all.

#2. Homosexual acts are officially prohibited by all 3 of the monotheistic religions, although permitted in Hinduism (which I suspect may be the religion of J Pararajasingham.) But to you I say: go ahead and indulge if you wish; I won't judge you.

#3. I could hardly understand what that guy was saying - it took several rewinds to figure out he was talking about "wife beating" being "allowed" in Islam. Again, Google "wife beating haram" and you will see that there is hardly a consensus on this subject, either, and in fact most Islamic opinion weighs against beating anybody.

#4. This is a MEMRI clip, which means the translation/context is immediately under suspicion of being misleading or deceptive. However, I did note that that particular speaker is extremely controversial and not at all representative of mainstream Islam.

And with that, I think I've wasted enough time on your silly presentation.
