You are doing DCF and I-864 right?

If you read the instructions with I-864, you only need past year's tax information. The instructions state you can include A letter from employer, past 3 years taxes and up to the past 6 months pay stubs if you think they will help your case.

If your income is large enough use the I-864EZ, it requires less documentation, and bank statements are unnecessary.

I did do form 846EZ (I hope that was right)... according to the requirements, I did meet them, so I did it... SOOO you don't think I need to include pay stubs (it's so much copying). Yes, we are doing DCF for CR1 we started with i 130 (boy, I sure have learned a lot of acronyms)

you don't need all 6 months worth perhaps only 3, get tax transcripts, the I-864ez form even specifies them and they are free from the IRS. The consulate can even keep them if they want to.

A note from employer is also helpful. The note from employer should indicate nature of work, if job is temp or perm, and annual salary, and be on company letter head.

In addition to my taxes, letter of employment, and bank statements, do you think I need copies of paycheck stubs too?

Thanks!

It's always good to have too much instead of too little at the interview ;)

I will bring them to the interview, but I meant to send in with packet 3....

Most consulates just want the DS-230, and DS-2001 (the check list) sent back, and the rest of the documentation they want brought to the interview. Read the instructions that they send with packet 3 carefully to determine what they want returned from packet 3. Edited by YuAndDan

If you mean to send your paystubs to the NVC, yes you should do that.
