Hello VJers

I got approved(NOA2) on the 17th of September and about 3 days later my fiance got a the hard copy mail informing him our case has been forwarded to the beneficiary's consulate.

My question is ...is it possible for my papers to have been forwarded straight to my consulate without going through the NVC? And wot sld be done from here?

He has...he was told to call back in 15 days...

He should keep calling everyday, 15 days is always the standard waiting period they tell everyone

But i can be there before then, so he should keep calling everyday

OP asked this question " My question is ...is it possible for my papers to have been forwarded straight to my consulate without going through the NVC? And wot sld be done from here?" and was advised to check the previous post, I wanted to look at the previous post because I have similar questions.

I have received my NOA2 my mine question is, I am just waiting for them to contact us with an interview date now?

I know I need to send fiance all the necessary forms and he has to do this medical etc, but do those things need to be completed before we are assigned an interview date or does he just need to have it done before the scheduled interview. Also I have never received an email throughout this whole process so I'm worried about how we will be notified, I got a text telling me our case was updated when we got the noa2. What phone number should I be calling to ask these questions? sorry to hijack someone else's post

After your approval, your petition is sent to NVC

Call NVC after a week to get your case number that starts with LGS

Keep calling to know when its sent off to Lagos

Send an email to LagosIV@state.gov with your name and case number and ask if you have been scheduled

Once you know your interview date, you can have your Medicals and police report done

Can I say I love you or would that be too much lol. Ya I called them and I got my case number, they sent out my info to Lagos today. So I will go ahead and wait a couple days to email them. Or do you recommend that I email them now?
