VFS process change

Hello all VJ members

as after 26th sep process will be change to submit documents prior to an interview so we need to register online to the website. i make an account in there and put went to UPDATE PROFILE where i put my fiance info and i tried to save it but it doesn't change anything. could somebody please explain after you make an acct what should we actually need to do specailly for K1 Visa category!!!!

although when i click on SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT i select all necessary info until STEP 8 WHICH IS ABOUT PAYMENT INFORMATION do we need to pay online or can we still carry Demand Draft at the time of interview to pay for the visa fee? how we gonna pay for couier fee? it is so confusing. i read that thread that some ppl got barcode and pdf file which they print out and show it to the time of interview but i didn't get any of that . pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee helppppppppppppppppppp

First of all, you need to send the following forms;

Applicant Statement

DS-156

DS-230 Part I

at Consulate Office where you will give interview. For eg; if your case is transferred to Mumbai Consulate then you need to use following address to send document;

U.S. Consulate, Mumbai

Consular Section

(If Mumbai Consulate) You can download the forms at this location ; http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/ivforms.html

For New Delhi Consulate, please choose New Delhi consulate address

When your Interview date is updated on Consulate website (Mumbai or New Delhi)...For Mumbai, the interview date is updated here in PDF file (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/interview_appt_schedule.html) and for New Delhi, please visit New Delhi Consulate website...

After getting the interview date, please get the appointment from VFS office (if you do not receive the hard copy via mail post) and submit the PACKET 1V documents at the following new VFS office;

Trade Center, Gr. Floor,

G Block, Bandra Kurla Complex

Bandra East, Mumbai - 400041

If you do not get PACKET 1V in hard copy, you can always download it from Consulate website.

After submitting all forms and documents, you will need to get Demand Draft from Nationalized or Foreign Bank...of Rs 13920/ which will be submitted only at the time of interview in Consulate Office.

Bar Code Receipts are for NON-IMMIGRATION VISA APPLICANTS which is received only via HDFC bank.

K1 is IMMIGRANT Visa and Demand Draft is used for Fees.

sorry for not having enough info in my post but my fiance interview is on the 5th oct and we have all of the doc except PCC which is under process and now this is the time to submit docs but as after 26th sep it is going to change so i heard that Mumbai / Ahmedabad VFS office are not going to accept documents and we have to register online to that website to get confirmation so they can send my fiance passport to the specific VFS location which we choose. (we didn't receive packet 4 hardcopy so we have email print out for an interview letter)

Try to register on 26th or later. If you are stuck somewhere while registering, please call VFS center immediately.
