Hi Everyone!!!

It seems like the California office is faster in process than the Vermont office . Correct me if am wrong. I have read some people comments who sent their K1 application in June and has already received their NOA2 -- versus Vermont where people are still waiting.

Could you please advise by experience. does it always take 8 to 9 months? The wait time is killing me and i just started mine was just received on 09/06/2012 and i know i have some more waiting time. I was just thinking CSC wouldn't be too long but i could be wrong.

any advised will be greatly appreciate it

Right now in these moments, CSC is moving really fast while VSC is seeming to take forever. The average processing time is 5 months, CSC is taking around 3 months and I think VSC is around 6 or 7 months. However all that could change at anytime, the key is to have patience. Find other activities to occupy yourself and keep busy. It's a touch wait, but well worth it!!!

you are correct, CSC is currently processing petitions 2 months ahead of VSC. dont count your self lucky yet because when we filed in jan 2012, the average wait time was about 110 days @ VSC, a full month and a half in front of CSC and we were happy our petition went there, things change as the months went by the times flipped. we got approved when the average wait @ VSC was about 180 days. we waited for over 6 1/2 months. good luck :thumbs:

The normal time for processing is 5 months for your NOA2. The processing timeframe of VCS or CSC changes every few months. Earlier this year VcS was processing quickly. Look at your timeline, it will give you an estimated timeframe of processing. Also understand that your petition is processed randomly, there are no understandable guidelines as to when they complete your petition. Someone's may be processed before yours with the same date you have, or a date after yours.

You also have no choice on where your petition is filed. Last year CSC was slow. This year the trend reversed.

VSC is glacier speed. Many March filers still waiting. I hope they speed up for you and you do not have to go through this wait.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Things change just be patient. When we filed way back in '06 vsc was lightening fast and csc was awful and slow. I had moved along in the process to the point of starting embassy stuff while others were waiting on noa2. You just never know

K-1 visa issued: 12/15/2006

107 days from mailing AOS package to receiving green card! Received 6/27/07 dated 6/20/07
