Do I need form i-864A?

I recently submitted my i-130 petition, and it was approved.

Now I will send in our next packet of documents. In this packet I will include an i-864 filled out by me (the petitioner). However I am currently unemployed status and I won't be listing any income so I will have a joint sponsor (one of my parents).

My question is:

For my joint sponsor they only need to fill out the i-864 correct? They will meet requirements from their income alone. No need for using assets.

If I understand correctly the i-864A is not needed in this situation, correct?

And lastly, these forms don't need to be notorized correct?

You are correct, both you and t=your parent fill in a I-864. The only reason to use the I-864A is if you want to combine your parents income, or if they filed joint tax returns.
