TD visa for non canadian step son living abroad

First post here.

I'm working here in the US under TN, and plan to marry my non-Canadian fiancee who lives in Asia, after my TN extension next year. I understand that non-Canadian (and Mexican) spouses are eligible to apply for TD visa to be with the principal TN holder here in North America. Just wondering if I can also bring her 12 year old son from previous marriage, as TD dependent (step-son); Or I'll be needing a legal adoption in order for him eligible? My fiancee lives in the Philippines.

Without getting into the specifics of your case, step-children do qualify for TD status, using the same criteria as for any other immigration benefit.
