Help! Case # on visa

Got my visa yesterday and yes, there's a cut on one corner of the envelop. My worry is : the case number on my visa has 12 numbers instead of 10#'s like what's written on my data summary. They added 01 at the end. Is it also common or am I just stressing myself over nothing?

I just noticed it now cause I decided to rechecked everything when I got home after the CFO sent me home cause I didn't make it to the limited slots. The lady that was on the same line with me told me that she had to go back to the embassy because of the typo error on her visa (. 1 Passport # omitted)

hello,

i, too have a cut on the corner of the packet they sent me, but according to the US embassy agent i chatted with it's not an issue; however, regarding the case number you're pertaining to, where in the visa can i find that and where do i compare it to?

about the CFO limited slot, may i ask what time you were there? I'm just wondering what time one has to be there in order to get in the limited slot.

thank you!

I was just looking at my visa and are you pertaining to the control number on the upper right corner? mine has 14 digits including the 01 that you mentioned. based on my research it would seem like this just shows when the visa was processed using the Julian date system. Is your MNL case number same as the control number? I'm guessing it's different if what I just told you is correct.

Please keep us posted or somebody correct me if my statements are inaccurate.

Thank you.

Yes it's on the upper right side under the IMMiGRANT ViSA is written IV Case Number and under that is MNL with numbers same as my case ID only they added 01 at the end under that is registration number.

Yes, the cut on the corner is normal, I already read that on some threads here. I'm just worried about case number it's on the upper right of the visa it says IV case number so I compared it to the case ID that's on my immigrant data summary and I noticed they added 01 at the end.

I got to CFO office around 7 due to traffic. I'll try to go earlier tomorrow.

You done with it?

The 14 characters case # is fine. It's different from the MNL Case #. I think what needs to be checked in the visa is your name, birthdate, passport # and your fiance's/spouse's name and address. Congrats!

Ok. Thank you. My husband just called up the embassy to make sure and they said the last digit tells the number of applicants

my apologies -- i didn't realize you're under a different visa category. someone with the same visa category as you would probably be more helpful. sorry for the confusion =/
