I know this is a few days early but time reverts back to standard time at 2 a.m. on October 29th, 2006.... that is this Sunday....

Beginning in 2007, Daylight Saving Time is extended one month and begins for most of the United States at:

2 a.m. on the Second Sunday in March to 2 a.m. on the First Sunday of November.

If we vote in a democrat as president, this adjusting of time will be gone forever. Dont you hate republicans? They make us keep adjusting wtaches every few months.

This is the first year for time changes in Indiana. I'm not overly pleased about it. Hate it, in fact. It was just yet another thing that our wonderful Governor pushed through after getting elected. (Along with selling the Indiana Toll Road to an Italian/Australian conglomerate).

Reason for Daylight Saving Time:

To make better use of daylight.

Conserve energy

Saves lives because people travel home in the light which is safer.

Can prevent crime because people do their errands in the daylight which is safer.

Contrary to popular belief, it was not created for farmers nor does it benefit farmers

Sort of. The way I understand is that since during the summer, the sun comes up early, therefore people were sleeping away daylight hours. We move the clocks ahead so that we are awake for more of the daylight time.

Daylight savings time sucks.

During the fall/winter when you wake up = Dark

Get off work = Dark

No wonder I like summer!!!

Me too, now Tucson and Calgary will be on the same time ,as well as only 1 hour to Chicago and 2 to back East..

Sort of. The way I understand is that since during the summer, the sun comes up early, therefore people were sleeping away daylight hours. We move the clocks ahead so that we are awake for more of the daylight time.

Maybe we should just do away with clocks altogether and just get up with the sun then?
