HELLO, my sending in my I-130,-i485, i-485 Supp A, and work permit.

My concern is that on my birth certifate which is from INDIA.

Birth certifcate it says Mukesh and (no last name on BC either, our small village doesnt put anyones last name, i think because everyone has patel as their last name too soo..) and on my passport says Mukeshkumar Patel.

My school regards here have only Mukesh on em... im i going to have problems with RFE's or during interview regarding this matter?

Please someone help. im trying to avoid theses issues before hand...

Update your birth-certificate with last name to avoid any conflict at the time of interview.

you gotta get yourself a letter from the local Municipal Corp., tehsil or sub-divison stating that child "Full name on PP" was born to "parents" was named in the BC as "name that is incomplete".i know exactly what your problem is , i think your parents just used your name mukesh instead of the full name which is causing trouble now.let alone the BS that the Red Tape gives you.i had somewhat a similar case like yours but got a MC letter with my BC beforehand.i hope this will help.good luck

Hi

The name should be exactly same in Birth Certificate as it appears on your Passport.

Thanks
