Aug and Sept I 130 filers transfered to Missouri (NBC) ???

I am a USC living abroad. I received the NOA1 yesterday (Oct 31) and received a MSC case number. They told me to wait until I received the Hard Copy before trying to check it on the website - but of course I checked it and it wasn´t there.

Can´t wait to hear from an August or September filer that they received their NOA2 - but I will try to be patient and forget about it!

(How do I edit my timeline, since MSC is not an option?) Hopefully we can start getting some information together soon!

Where would the petition normally be sent? I put California for mine because that is where it would have been sent had it not been sent off to the NBC.

I130 sent to Chicago, transferred to NBC and now on the website it says ours is a USCIS office. Reciept had always started with WAC. Our local office would be Dallas but just says...The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made'.

Last update on website is 5th October

Mine says that same as yours and if it is at my local office mine would be Dallas too. My last touch was Sept. 29. I am hoping we get a fast answer :)

The original receipt number you got from the first service center is the one you will use. After your case gets to the NBC they are transferring it to the local office in your area. I was told to use the 5 month processing timeframes the USCIS has on their Web site as a guideline. When I enter my receipt number I use the WAC prefix and it shows it to be in initial review.

Hamigirl.. Why did you use the WAC prefix?? I have been trying with MSC and it didn't work.. I just tried with WAC since you said you did and it says initial review... it says they received it on October 18th, which is the same day I got my NOA1 by email - still haven't received the hard copy.. BUT it says "Your Current Case Status for Form I290B, NOTICE OF APPEAL TO THE COMMISSIONER " when I petitioned with an I-130"

So my assumption is that I stumbled upon someone elses' case status that happens to be the same day as mine??

Also, does anyone know if the other notices of actions will also be emailed to me? Such as it being transferred? My first one on Oct 18th said we were transferred to NBC and I haven't heard anything since then or received anything in the mail - I am a little worried its going to get lost in international mail..

You would use what ever number is written on your hardcopy I797 form that they sent to you. If you use some other prefix instead of your own than you are looking at somebody elses case. Hamigirl has a WAC number I asume because she filed sometime in august or september and before being transfered to NBC and then to local office she was routed to California. That is what happened with our case.

I used that prefix because that was my receipt number given to me. My case went to California first and after a few days it was sent to the NBC.
