Hi,

Greetings!

My husband has already submitted all the documents to NVC along with Affidavit of Support, DS - 230 on August last week. He called the NVC on 21st Of September, 2012 (last Friday) and he came to know that its complete in NVC but they are waiting for the interview appointment with Bombay US Embassy since I am in west bengal, India so my interview will be in bombay us consulate. So when can I expect interview? Since my Visa category is CR1 and my husband is in New York and I am in India.

Please let me know. I am very anxious now.

Regards,

Hi

You can expect your interview in the month of November 2012. Please keep in touch with Mumbai Consulate website (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/interview_appt_schedule.html), the interview date is updated between 6th - 15th of every month calendar.

Right now, October date is not updated yet. There could be delay in interview now these days because of the Protest occurring all over the world.

Just keep your eyes open for interview date and wait for Appointment Letter and be prepared along with all documents.

Thanks

Hi,

Greetings!

just wondering this site (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/interview_appt_schedule.html) leads to some google search page and among them I have opened one of the Gov site and this site is asking for some registration for Passport delivery address. What is this and is it mandatory? And my second question is where did you find the interview date update page? Please let me know so that I can check as well. You wrote " Right now, October date is not updated yet", how did you know? Please let me know!

Thanks,

Hi

please visit google.com but not other website at this time...and in search bar, plz type or copy/paste this link http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/interview_appt_schedule.html

Please do it...

So far, October Interview is not updated yet.

If you do not believe then just go to USA CONSULATE WEBSITE (http://www.usembassy.gov/) and go through the Flyovers from that site which direct to Mumbai Consulate then you will know exactly.

Thanks

Hi,

Greetings!

I have few questions in my mind regarding interview. Since my interview date is close so just wondering what are the documents needed during interview, what about medical and submission of passport? Do NVC/ Mumbai Consulate will notify me with all the details? It is through e-mail or courier.

Will they give me ample time for medical and medical report? Will they ask for additional papers if needed during the time of interview. What is the validity of PCC (Is it for 6 months)? Since I have both the PCC from local passport office and the other from district commisionerate office.

Please let me know. And sorry for the too many questions..

Hello Payal,

I do not about Mumbai but for Delhi my wife would have

Ongoing Relationship proof

Skype log

facebook log

Phone log

Some emails

gift receipts

Life insurance policy

2011 tax return

couple of month pay stub

wedding album

engagement album

after marriage photos

My wife already submitted the following documents to VFS before Interview.

Passport copy

Marriage certificate copy

Some photos

courier fees

Medical report

Your consulate should notify you what documents they have received in your Interview letter (Packet 1V)and rest of the process regarding medical and all other stuff. I was my wife agent so i did submit all the paper work for her.

I hope this helps and please search VJ and you would find very useful info regarding your Interview process :)
