Hey everyone,

Me and my spouse just submitted forms AR-11 (online) and I-865 (mail) to submit our address change. We moved a year ago, but didn't realize these forms existed until recently. Anyway, that's a separate topic I posted and multiple people advised me to submit both forms asap, which we have now done. I know I should have submitted the forms within 10 days, and I take full responsibility, but I've done it now and want to move on i.e. I don't want this post to be about 'that', unless of course it's relevant and constructive.

So that brings us to where we are now. Today we have just entered the 90-day window to submit our I-751 application, (we haven't sent the I-751 off yet). It was only 3 days ago that I submitted the forms for the address change. Should I wait a few weeks to let the new address get into the USCIS database(s) before I submit the I-751 pack? Does it matter?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a lot everyone!

It isn't going to make any difference whether you file now or a month from now, since they will use the address on your I-751 for correspondence.

As I said in your other post, your issue might be that you are submitting information with your new address on it that is (presumably) several weeks / months old, and an observant IO (they exist, rarely) might notice that you submitted a change of address very late.

More likely than not there will be no issue, but it remains a possibility.

I would include a copy of the AR-11 form in your I-751 packet. Don't be surprised if you get USCIS correspondence to your old address though. This happened to me, and I filed my change of stuff stuff WELL in advance of my 90 day window and got my reminder notice to my old address, but my NOA to my current address.

Thanks for both of your replies. I think I'll just get it submitted then. At least that way, if there's any issue it will flush it out and I can resolve with RFE and/or interview any issue that they might have, earlier rather than later. Would you advise me to include a copy of both the AR-11 and I-865 forms (my spouse is my sponsor)? Or just the AR-11 form?

Thanks!

Sam
