CEMAR vs. Marriage Certificate

GoodMorning Vjers,

I have quick question about CEMAR is it same it Certificate of Marriage or Marriage Contract? I already had my NBI'S married name and aka name. I also had my Birth Cert and Marriage Contract however I am confused and read this CEMAR in other thread. Is it different? Or do I have to go to NSO and get a CEMAR? If I have get one do you guys hahve idea if how long would it take for me to get it? My interview is soon like a month from now and I am trying to get all the docs I need for interview:) Thank you so much in advance:)

It only takes 2 weeks for Mike to get it from Lipa. CEMAR is a CRS Form 5 - Advisory on Marriages, pretty much states there how many marriages you've had. You'll apply for CENOMAR but you'll fill out a Form 5 not Form 4 (this is for an individual who was never married)

Thank you so much for respoding my post. I was curious about it since my interview is coming soon and good thing I was browsing here and saw the thread about CEMAR, will I guess I have to go to NSO this Monday and apply for that then.Just to clarify again about the docs I have to get from NSO are:

They will not give you CENOMAR Form 4 since you're already married. That's Certificate of Non-Marriage (for those who are never been married). You'll ask for Form 5 - Advisory on Marriages. I'm not certain if it is required but it won't hurt to bring to the interview.

hi i know in NSO Pasay u can get a copy of Advisory on Marriages in just one week, when is your interview? mine is on Oct 18, 2012

Thank you for the heads up, but yeah Pasay seems to far from me:( I am coming from Montalban Rizal and had work too. I still have a month tho so I thnk 2 weeks is just enough. Oh your interview schedule is much earlier than mine good for you mine is October 22 and scheduled by NVC, I want early if I could but then since it was scheduled by NVC then ill just going to stick with it haha Goodluck to both of US girl and beep me up about your interview:)

oh mine is oct 19. all this time I tot CEMAR is just the same as Marriage certificate. Thanks for posting this.. know i need to get this CEMAR too.

Hi Ismobem, your welcome:) I read that cemar here too and that's why I made a Thread about this cuz I also thought that its the same with marriage cert
