Hello VJ members,

So sorry about this. I know this has been posted but I've been reading so much on this forum I don't remember where to get the answer to these questions anymore. For those who have been done with their CFO seminar under cr1 category. I just wanna know what are the other documents do they ask aside from the ones written on their site? I will be travelling to Manila tonight to attend the seminar on Monday but I wanna travel light this time (that means I won't be bringing all the docs I brought with me during the interview cause its bulky) so I'll just take the docs that the CFO will ask from me. Another thing, did they ask for the cert. true copy of your marriage cert? i dont have anysad.gif (dont have time to get one from the local civil registrar since its weekend) all I have is the one from NSO. I wont be staying in a hotel this time and I'm still trying to figure out how to get to the CFO office from Cubao.. helpsmilie.gif

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys!

Not sure about the copy of your marriage certifcate needing to be a certified one, but I am sure they will want a copy of your marriage certificate along with the CEMAR... just to be difficult.

Required documents & "OTHER DOCUMENTS" they ask for at CFO: copies of; CENOMAR/CEMAR, certified birth certificate, bio page of passport, visa page from passport, pictures together, from USC - bio page of passport, birth certificate, divorce decree (if been married before) are the most common. The "other documents" clause can be ANYTHING with those nit-wits at CFO.

** From the Family Code of the Philippines: it's 21-25 years old for advice and 18-21 years old for consent.

Art. 14. In case either or both of the contracting parties, not having been emancipated by a previous marriage, are between the ages of eighteen and twenty-one, they shall, in addition to the requirements of the preceding articles, exhibit to the local civil registrar, the consent to their marriage of their father, mother, surviving parent or guardian, or persons having legal charge of them, in the order mentioned. Such consent shall be manifested in writing by the interested party, who personally appears before the proper local civil registrar, or in the form of an affidavit made in the presence of two witnesses and attested before any official authorized by law to administer oaths. The personal manifestation shall be recorded in both applications for marriage license, and the affidavit, if one is executed instead, shall be attached to said applications. (61a)

Art. 15. Any contracting party between the age of twenty-one and twenty-five shall be obliged to ask their parents or guardian for advice upon the intended marriage. If they do not obtain such advice, or if it be unfavorable, the marriage license shall not be issued till after three months following the completion of the publication of the application therefor.A sworn statement by the contracting parties to the effect that such advice has been sought, together with the written advice given, if any, shall be attached to the application for marriage license. Should the parents or guardian refuse to give any advice, this fact shall be stated in the sworn statement.

I logged out and checked again and found out you already sent me this link on a diff. thread.. I'm sorry! I guess I just worry too much on this since I'm planning to do this seminar in just 1 day. I hope they wont send me home and ask for more docs.

Thank you for being soooo helpfulyes.gif. i guess I have it all ready. If they wont accept a copy of my Marriage cert I'll just give them an original and get new ones from the NSO before i leave.

Please share your experience once you're done with the seminar. I'm taking mine few days before my flight since ill be out of the country muna. I'm also under IR1 and my kid's for IR2. Let me know what docs they will be asking from you and how we could land a slot for a 12 slot availability for each session :) thanks in advance!

Thank you, I just got worried on the "CERTIFIED TRUE COPY" thing. but you are right the one from NSO is more valid.

I attended my CFO at SMEF-COW @ Katipunan, QC but It's already close for business since Sept.15, 2012

the requirements they asked from me was a copy of passport, mc, bc, and 1pc photo of me and my hubby.

I am not sure what are the requirements at CFO Main Office at Quirino Ave. beside from the 12 slot per day.

I suggest that you call their office to inquire for the requirements. and also they seemed to be strict to

K1 applicants. maybe just bring along.. CEMAR, NBI,4-6pcs of Photos, and make sure you know all the basic

info of your hubby. from home address to phone numbers to mother's maiden name.

Good Luck!

Yeah. I was planning to do the seminar at the one in katipunan but found later on that their last session was the day of my interview. I'm on a cr1 category so I have my CEMAR with me. I'll bring my nbi just in case they ask. Glad u mentioned that. I'll travel tonight.

if you got your visa have it photocopy as well, also the Immigrant Data Summary found in your packet

cuz I think they ask for it for CR1/IR1.

Yes I know CEMAR is for Spouse Visa/IR1/CR1 Visa, and CENOMAR for fiancee/fiance Visa. I'm just referring to

CFO Main Office for being strict to K1/Fiance/Fiancee Visa applicants compare to IR1/CR1/Spouse Visa applicants(sorry if my

comments are not that detail) :bonk::P :P

Korek ka jan, (CENOMAR) or more correct term CRS Form No. 4 Certificate of no Marriage, is commonly used by Filipino fiancé or fiancée applying for K-1

CRS Form No.5 -Advisory of Marriages, provides proof of his or her civil status. As its name implies, the certificate signifies that the person is married. Used for IR-1/CR-1visa

Sorry, didn't know it posted 3x. I got my visa around 3pm this afternoon. I just read your message I already took out my passport and had to take all of it out to have the immigrant summary photocopied. I taped it back afterwards. I'm ready for the seminar tomorrow just a lil worried about the limited slots since I'm in cubao right now. I'll be flying on the 7th of Oct.

thanks!
