Did I ever say Sarah was a victim? But practice what you preach! I don't think she is abrasive at all, her style of posting is just different than others. She has a dry sense of humor and some people just don't get it. Just because someone doesn't understand something doesnt make it offensive or abrasive. Morocco, I think many people here would have the same opinion about you and me. If people are going to constantly tell her to be nicer then why make it a point to ambush her with ignore button and then proceed to communicate with her? Thats a bit hypocritacal in my POV.

Ok, then it's ok if someone repeatedly says it's gross and abnormal for Muslims and non-Muslims to marry, or it's gross and abnormal for white women to marry non-white men.

What does any of that have to do with older women? By the way, she is a non-muslim married to a muslim. She is also a white woman married to a non- white man.

And your point is?

Why do you defend crass comments about older/younger relationships? Don't get offended about crass comments about other kinds of relationships. You're opening the door in their defense too.

MY POINT IS: what you wrote was incorrect!

Everything you just mentioned Sarah being against is false, especially considering that you are describing her relationship. I don't agree with huge age gaps in a marriage either btw.

...........

So, everyone, if you think someone's relationship is gross and abnormal, feel free to say so because we are getitng feedback that there is not a thing wrong with it.

Have at it. We will have a blunt and happy board from here on.

Now this sounds like a fun game

VP, I would stay quiet if I were you because if you want to divide enemies and friends we both know where your cheering section would end up.

Ok, then it's ok if someone repeatedly says it's gross and abnormal for Muslims and non-Muslims to marry, or it's gross and abnormal for white women to marry non-white men. Are those ok, or justifiable as my style of posting? Is it ok that I express my personal preference in such a manner ove rand over? That is whatt she does, but I guess as long as your target is people who aren't in your situation, it's OK.

So, everyone, if you think someone's relationship is gross and abnormal, feel free to say so because we are getitng feedback that there is not a thing wrong with it.

It seems your line in the past is that it is intellectually irrespsonsible to approach things with a PC attitude, or with an emotional one. Is this not the case any longer when we are discussing your situation, or at least, a situation in which you are rooted and feel strongly about?

I would venture this discussion of who-thinks-what is gross wouldn't be repeated so often if the other side didn't spend so much time and attention on it. If you find Sarah's opinion to be of no value to you, and you see that she isn't going to change her mind, then why do you persist? It's exactly what you told me yesterday. Give it up.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.

Why do you defend yourself against crass comments re: your sitiuona but you don't drop your defense of someone's choice to use a crass word in another situation? And taking it further, you even invoked a more vile word? And to top it off, you couldn't even step off when someone of the offended ethinic group specifically tells you how the word isn't just crass, but extraordinarily insulting and painful?

Who has to follow social guidelines in your world?

Excuse me? We weren't talking about friends  you were making claims that a certain person is not a trouble maker... I call bullspit. ;)

I don't think there is room for you to call anyone here a trouble maker.

I said I wouldn't date a man 20 years older than myself. I don't think I'm the only person who wouldn't. Many others have shared that they have limits with age gaps.

My most likely unwanted $.02.......me either. Like Sarah, I don't think it's GROSS, but if my mom OR dad were dating someone my age...I would not like it...and I, personally, (Again, using "I" statements) wouldn't do it myself.

to those that are doing it...more power to you! Just personal opinions because I find this topic very interesting.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

When I went to pick up my kids last night I was discussing this with my friends... who also happen to be black... I told them I was being accussed of being a racist because I use the word ghetto while I'm not black... I have never heard a group of people laugh so hard in my whole life

I don't think there is room for you to call anyone here a trouble maker.

I don't think I make snide little comments about anyone's relationships here to provoke fights on the board  maybe against the accussed but only as retaliation ;)
