My fiance received his visa today, but some of the information on it is wrong. I called DOS, but they are closed. I emailed the Embassy to see what we should do, but the last 2 times I emailed the Embassy…they haven’t replied. So now what? I will call DOS again on Monday, but has anybody else experienced this issue?

Under the annotation section, my name (petitioner) is spelled wrong and my zip code is missing the last digit.

You can't call the Embassy or just walk-in, everything needs to be done by email, so it's rather difficult to get through to them sometimes.

That is fine, as long as the beneficiary information are all correct. Same with me my (fiance)husband now, his last-name and address was incorrect. I went to US EMBASSY, i talked to the one of the staff there, and he told me that my VISA is FINE, since my all information as a BENEFICIARY IS SPELLED CORRECT. so don't worry,

FYI: I missed my flight because of that problem, i called the USEM about it, and call center agent asked me to send it back my packet and VISA and PASSPORT together its 22g1? when i already sent documents the USEM called me saying it's not a big deal..

I walked to USEM to pick up my passport and i still used the VISA with my husband incorrect last-name and address. SO don't worry really..

Wow, this is really bad. I agree with Shawna call DOS and see what they say about it and find out if it really will be a problem or not. Good Luck.

This is your answer. Forget about DOS, the embassy is the one that needs to fix this for you.

I know they said email is the primary way the US embassy in Jamaica can be reached, but given the nature of the situation, it doesn't hurt trying to call. Here is the contact number I got from their site:

Embassy of The United States of America

142 Old Hope Road

Tel: 876-702-6000

Great minds think alike, I was just looking for the phone number to the Embassy also.

It has been my experience they do not respond to e-mail at all. We both e-mailed them about packet, etc.., and only got response to submission of DS-230 and that is all.

I've seen other people here mentioned that they have called the Embassy in Kingston and got to speak to someone concerning their issues. If she or her fiance get that sort of response, then maybe the fastest thing to do is to call DOS and try to confirm what another poster said earlier in the thread, that it won't be a big issue since it's her name that was wrong and not her fiance.

Yes I know I must of sent out like 50 emails lol sometimes 5 a day after seeing the same email over and over they will respond...there is no way to talk to them through phone...only way I talked to them through phone is when the embassy called I noticed only certain ques I asked them they email back...some ques I asked they never email back since the visa issued and they made a mistake im sure they will email back soon....as soon as I told them they made a mistake about my case they emailed me within that day...so its pick and choose to them im assuming
