Robin, there as always been debt and always will be! Dems want money to spend, not pay debt!

And so to the Republicans -- Ted Stevens $223 million "bridge to nowhere" is Alaska being one of the most jaw-dropping examples of Republican pork

So unless you have proof that the terrorist were being supported by Saddam (something Bush, himself states did not exist) you can quit using that (and anything that eludes to it) as justification that we (now or ever) belong in Iraq...

Dude. they are terrorists. They don't run to the NYT like democrats to publish everything.. Seriously, do you think you can negotiate with a group of people who wants to see the west dead?

Are you seriously saying that democrats are frugal and wise with money???

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Are you seriously saying the Republicans are? There was a budget surplus in 2000 -- which was completely squandered by Bush. Total earmarks for 2005: 15,000, costing $47 billion. I sometimes think your knowledge and understanding of US politics is as tenuous as your understanding of economics.

Personally I would like to see some solutions to our problems along non-partisan lines -- I won't hold my breath.

Hey, so would I. Partisan lines simply ###### the country as a whole and there is no winner. Almost like the result of the movie war games.

The point of this post was that war aside, republicans have achieved some positive results..

Infidel.

You're wasting valuable bandwidth on this bunch.

Give it up....There will be much time to debate after the Republicans walk away with both houses after this election.

There's no way to debate liberals as they’re always arguing the altruistic, unrealistic, ideal virtues replete with all the tired same old platitudes; war is bad, live and let live…... Practically speaking, in the real world, they are simply delusional and unrealistic.

This doesn't stop them though as it makes them feel lofty and superior to the rest of us.

You would probably be wasting your time telling the people of Michigan the economy is going well -- people there would point him to the nearest crackhouse (in Detroit there are plenty to choose from) and tell you to light up. The unemployment rate there is the highest it's been in past 3 years than when the first Bush was in office.

Hence the title of this thread. The forgotten facts. Is you life directly affected by war? How about somone take away your job and security. What would be more important.. That or the war on terror, which one comfortably criticizes and condemns from the comfort of their home. I wonder if you would have had the same thought if you were stuck in the WTC as the tower was falling..

Gezz. I wonder if he hadn't gone to war, what sort of BS would the Democrats have thought up about him and 'his' administration...

You don't think that has something to do with left wing unions and their ever increasing wage demands forcing companies to close shop...

PS I highly doubt many Californians give a ###### about buying US cars to keep jobs in the US.

i'd buy a US car if they had a decent mileage like the japanese hybrids.. actually ford has a hybrid model, or a more than 30mpg.. i'd buy it.. but, oh well.. Real Americans want big trucks!! gas guzzling behemoths!!

and fat people need big cars.. an average obese american doesn't fit in a Honda Civic... they need an Explorer or something big.. so I don't think there will be a shortage for US cars..

as some mentioned in another thread it's stupid for someone to mention unemployment etc yet continue to purchase products manufactured overseas.. I personally try to buy American made products wherever I can.
