Simple question, household sponsor form

So I am using a household sponsor to meet our income requirements. I am looking at the form and it asks for the household sponsor's individual income, and income from line whatever on the tax form. HHSponsor files as married.

Does the income for both spouses get written down as individual income or income from said line? Or, do I need an application from both the husband and wife and note each income separately? If the latter is the case, do I have to submit two sets of identical tax transcripts?

hmm, maybe it wasn't a simple question. Since/if no one can answer, who may I contact for intsructions? Do I call NVC?

What do you mean by household sponsor? Is the joint sponsor a qualifying household member? What is the relationship with the joint sponsor? Does the USC petitioner have any income?

Yes, a qualifying household member, my mother and step-father will be the main support on my documents. I live with them. After my spouse/beneficiary lived here for a couple months this summer, my parents have agreed to sponsorship. My income is a negligible amount for the next year, being a full time student.

Edit Add: So if anyone has filled out the "Qualifying household member" papers, this is what I need help with.

You complete the I-864 regardless of income amount.

One parent completes an I-864 as well. If they need to combine incomes, then the other parent completes an I-864A to combine their incomes.

Just to make sure we're all clear: Even though I live with my mother and step dad, I will want to use joint, not house-hold member sponsorship. My parents will then file I864/I-864A together and combine their income. I won't join my pittance with theirs.

Think I got it!! Thanks. I had a feeling there was a fairly easy explanation.

Think I got it!! Thanks. I had a feeling there was a fairly easy explanation.

With very little income for you this gives a clearer picture to the CO adjudicating the case.

If your income was fairly close and needed some help to meet the standard then one of your parents could use the I-864A to combine their individual income with your income.

The goal is for the interview to go smoothly without any delays for additional documents. Having your parents do the I-864 + I-864A (if needed) works best.
