High School Transcripts for FAFSA?

I recently enrolled in a local community college, however despite being an adult (I'm 26) and having completed high school some eight years ago the financial aid office insists I need my high school transcripts and fill out the selective service form. I'm curious if this is a general requirement as far as FAFSA is concerned or if the policy is different for every school? Thanks. =)

All colleges will want to see your high school transcript. it has nothing to do with age. Selective Service is required for all males aged 18-26. Are you a citizen? If you are not yet, and you didn't register for the Selective Service, you will have problems becoming a citizen.

Selective service doesn't apply to me since I arrived in the US AFTER I turned 26, but I understand what you mean about the high school transcripts. That helps, thanks.
