Hi all !!

Called NVC to verify my new case number, they gave me my new number, and told me that a letter was send to me on the 10th of September, my case was also forwarded to the embassy the same day, but I still haven't receive anything yet, I have read that others peoples letters and case took just 3 days to be received. is this normal ?? Should I keep calling them, or keep waiting ??

Why would the NVC lie to you?

Mail takes time. Just because a large organization generates a form letter does not mean that everything has been mailed out and received. Just wait for your mail.

The letter to the USC sent from NVC will tell the new LND number and that the case was sent to London. It doesn't matter if you never get the NVC's letter because you already know those two pieces of information.

If you doubt that they gave you correct information, call again and see what the next person says.

I'm sorry but I'm so confused between Vj's and my lawyer, she said I need the letter to send two payments, one for $88.00 and the other for $230.00 plus to send my I-864.I don't know if I should fired her and continue with VJ advised.

Another thing is that she saying I need to send I-864 now, when in here it says that is I-134 that is needed to be send first. I really need help !!! don't know what to do !!!

You lawyer is telling you the plan for married people and a CR1 spouse visa. Your profile says K1 fiance visa. What is it? Are you married to a US citizen or are you currently single?

If you are indeed single, fire the lawyer and ask for a refund. What have you paid in advance? what does it cover? The process goes on and on past the I-129F.

I'm the petioner USC, filling a K1 visa.. At this point I'm taking your advised, and fired her..

So I guess I don't need the NVC letter, I already got my new case #. Next step should be sending my fiance the I-134 n taxes right ??

You don't need to have the NVC letter for any purpose of showing immigration officials. I don't know much about having a lawyer, but maybe correspondence goes to the law office instead of to you. Did you get the form from the USCIS that says your petition was approved? NOA2? That is important and you need it. So get it from the lawyer if it went there. You need to send a photocopy of it when you apply for the greencard. A replacement is hundreds of dollars,

The thread at the top of this forum has a list in the first post telling things to do now. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/ Follow the list. Read it carefully.

Your fiancé really should get the shot part taken care of ASAP, as well as order the police certificate. (The link in post #1 for the police certificate is wrong. It changed since that was written, but is corrected in later posts)

Then call Knightsbridge for a medical appointment for a date that will be after he can get his shots and his police certificate. Give the LND case number when he picks the appointment date.

Continue reading that thread for more useful information. There is a link to your instructions and forms on the embassy webpages. Visa Journey has sample forms filled out. Find the examples he needs on this page http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples

Yes, I got NOA2..My fiance went to the doctor for he's shots, but they said that they need to look up he's record to see if he have them or not, and hat they will call him back...don't know why it takes so long ??

Police certificate, he said he needs to find someone to sign the pictures, so don't know..I'm just getting stress out about the time is taking.

Why don't you calm down and get informed on the process. Read the application form for the police certificate. Download from this page http://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx. Then you will know what he has to do about pictures.. Be on his team instead of fluttering away all stressed out about the time because you haven't learned the process. Even if you had read the list provided in the K1 thread you would have seen--

Order your police certificate. It takes some preparation because you need a passport photo signed off on by somebody officialish who’s known you two years.

Immigration is a whole lot of waiting around.
