My I-130 was received on Sept 12, 2012 and I logged in to check my case status today and it says this:

Initial Review

On September 20, 2012, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

The email I received this past Monday said the petition was going to CSC. My state of residence is Texas. Can anybody tell me why they would transfer my case so fast?

Thanks!

We got the same as you but dated the 19th. I was assuming it was them transferring the documents from Chicago lockbox to VSC in my case, but I'd be interested in hearing what others have to say.

Best of luck in your journey!

Same thing happened to us, NOA1 on september 10th, transfer on the 18th. We haven't received any of the notices on paper yet so we don't know where we are going (on the NOA1 it said CSC but i guess they moved us from there)

We are living abroad so we were hoping for the auto-expedite, I don't know about it now :(
