Same here! We will be hitting the 9 months mark on June 15th, we did a service request a few weeks ago and they replied ¨We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months from this letter please call....¨

I really hope is also just the way to say WAIT and there's nothing wrong with our case. And really hope to NOT get a RFE or interview after all this long time.

lets hope the best for all of us!

At least you got a reply! We have submitted 2 service requests and have not gotten a reply to either one of them. I submitted the first one in March and the second one about 4 weeks ago.

In 4 days we will be at 9 months :(

..I got same letter ..same text ..It was a reply on my service request 05MAR. So now I can do nothing just wait and see what will happen. Hope it was only ''go-away'' letter.

We placed our first service call today and we were told that my hubs was still in the background checking stage (uh duh...). We will get a response within 15 days. They also told us that local processing time was 4 months. Our 9 month mark will be June 19 :(

We did the service request on March 5th so it seems like it might be a ¨stop bothering¨ letter....

Hi VJ folks

Looks like we are all in the same boat waiting for our GC. I must admit, after a torturous process with additional processing, then a prolonged EAD process....I've been happy not even thinking about USCIS for a few months.

I'm not sure where everyone filed but my AOS went to the NBC (Chicago). I called the USCIS service desk yesterday and they have told me that my I-485 application is now with the Dallas office. Has anybody else had their application transfered to a local office? If you have, you might be able to get an idea of how long it will take. They told me that Dallas is currently processing October 9th applications (I was September 29th) and i have service request in now because it is over their processing date. I'll keep everyone posted on any progress.

Just received the same polite 'go away' letter:

The status of this service request is:

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 9-12 months of this letter, please contact customer service at the number provided below.

So here is the important question: I am currently employed full time and my work authority card expires 10/30/2013. I assume I should be applying to renew my work authority well in advance, given that the simple AOS process is taking a ridiculously long time to even be seen? Maybe they just want the additional $340.00 we all have to pay to renew? Haha

Met in Australia: January 2011
Engaged in USA on visit: 22nd September 2011

AP Document received: 3rd November 2012
EAD Card received: 27th November 2012
Conditional Green Card received: 26th July 2013

Renewing is free.

And an additional 9-12 months absolutely ridiculous.

Renewing is free? Awesome! Can you point me toward information on how to do it free? When I was going through the renewal documents, it said i had to pay to renew. I might be looking at the wrong form...

I'm hoping it's not 9-12 months more. I've seen a few timelines on here which put GCs into the 9-12months total for processing. I'm hoping that is the worst case scenario. From the date they received the RFE docs from us (just another copy of our sponsor's passport page), 28th September 2012, that puts us at the 8 month and a bit mark. We're hoping that it will arrive some time between now and October 30th, which is when my work auth expires. but we want to be safe and renew as I'm the main income earner at the moment. Can't afford to not work!

Narikta: If you're renewing with pending AOS, it's free - I think you just have to send a copy of your NOA1 along with the other papers. Don't quote me on it though - do a quick search on the USCIS website, I'm sure you'll find a definite answer! Good luck!
