Stupid question regarding Packet 3 & 4

Hello everybody,

I have a stupid question, but just need someone to put my mind at ease.

So I have an interview scheduled at the London Embassy for October 2nd. I have a letter the embassy emailed me with a barcode on it telling me what I should bring and what time to be there. I keep reading about people sending off packet 3 and 4, so I just wanted to make sure I am doing everything correctly. I am in the process of obtaining a CR-1 Visa, so do packets 3 or 4 apply to me? If so, what do they consist of?

I am already planning on bringing copies of all the forms we submitted to USCIS and NVC, in addition to relationship proof (i.e. cards, chat logs, pictures of us). Is there anything else you think I should bring?

Thanks everyone for all of your help! :)

Thanks

Sam&Sara

That's K1 talk. (and DCF because they skip NVC). P3 means the instruction letter London sends to say we have the approved I129F petition so here's how to apply for the visa. It used to be a real packet ...like 20 pages with step by step instructions, the forms, where to get photos taken, the checklist of documents to bring to the embassy, how to meet the public charge (affidavit of support)....

So when people send in their application forms and check list, that was returning P3. Still goes by that term on VJ. P4 is receiving the letter with interview appointment.

NVC handles all that for your visa, so you don't have a London P3 and 4. I'm not going to answer what you should bring because I might get it wrong. I don't know every detail of a CR1 process. But I know you should take your passport and that appointment letter.
