Hello all

I need some help. My wife and I are having issues with our attorney. She is very slow with returning our calls and emails. I just paid the I-864 and IV fee yesterday. We are ready to send in my I-864 and my wife already sent in her papers. Now the attorney is telling me to slow down because she needs to see what the NVC wants to do because my wife is a filpina who lived in Singapore for more than 6 months but is having problems getting a police clearance. I just want to fire that dam lawyer and do it all myself. If only we had found this site before hiring that damn visa lawyer..

She doesn't need a police clearance if she has worked in Singapore for more than 6 months but less than 1 year. Please read this blog post from the US embassy. http://blogs.usembas...ippines/?p=1029 Read the comments as well. It includes information about how to get one and that the police clearance will be sent to the US Embassy itself and not to your wife.

10/09 - Received by Manila Embassy

10/12 - Result of Sputum Test (Need to repeat)

10/16-10/18 - Repeat Sputum Test (Negative)

12/13 - Sputum Final Result (Negative)

12/21 - Interview at Embassy (Approved)

12/28 - Visa Picked Up from 2GO

12/28 - CFO

12/30 - POE (LAX)
