PACKET 3 and DS-2001 SENT

Hi everyone. I have been reading all over the United Kingdom and k1 forums for the answer to this question, but now I fear I have read tooooooo much. haha! Because the answers say so many different things... In my cover letter I explained that we would like an october interview date because I (US petitioner) plan to fly back here to London on november 8th to fly to Poland (hopefully soon after I arrive) to visit my fiancees family before we leave for the US. She had her medical on september 11th and so everything needed by embassy should be in place. With that being said, my questions are as follows:

1. My packet 3 and DS-2001 forms were received today by the embassy in London. I know this because I had them signed for. I am so confused as to when my Fiancees interview date will be set because there are so many answers from so many different dates during this year that appear on these threads.... is there anybody that has recent experience with the London Embassy that can relay their experience between the Embassy receiving these forms, and having their interview date set.

2. Also can you please share your recent experiences/knowledge about how far out the interview date is/was from the point they received their interview date. I have seen people say 1 week or one month+... I have also seen people that claimed to get the interview date they requested?

Well i sent my DS forms to London and it took them 29 days to log them from the date they were signed for. 34 days after they were signed for and still no interview...

wow... like I said "confusing".... sorry its taking so long..... one thread I read had a guy who requested an early morning friday appointment at the beginning of the month and got it! haha... Thats where my confusion stems from

A few weeks ago things seemed to be moving a lot faster and some people got interviews with 3-4 days notice but it seems to have slowed right down lately with logging the DS forms. One email i had from them said an interview will be scheduled as soon as the DS forms get logged and another said within 4 weeks of them being logged. So its just a case of waiting unfortunately.

Does anyone know if either 129f visas and 130 visas get some sort of priority as far the interview appointment dates?

Hi!

I had my medical on 6th and followed up with the police certificate after on 13th (who confirmed receipt) and sent my packet 3 forms with the DS2001 all together on 15th and the embassy received this on the 18th sept (I tracked it 1st class recorded mail). I'll let you know if I here anything but I'm not counting on it being quick by the feedback from people on this website. I'm allowing two to four weeks in my own mind just to hear from them.

I'll keep you posted if I here anything.

Lessons to learn, observe official guidance and timescales and what it can take up to, always record everything in writing and enquire if necessary and don't confirm any prior arrangements until the paperwork is in your hand!

It seems to be taking around 4 weeks just to log packet 3's at the moment, then you have to wait for them to issue an interview date. I can only guess it is because of the Olympics and a backlog of non immigrant visas (as DOS told me they stop processing non-immigrant visas during July and August).

Just wanted to check back in and see if London is still behind? If so, my fiance will simply fly here to wait it out... may as well be together if we can. Does anyone know if this is still the case with the delay in packet 3 receipt/interview date?

My packet was sent out and received by embassy on september 20th... We recieved our interview for october 25th.... I found this out on the 3rd of october.... so it was just over 2 weeks

I looks as though you may have seen that my fiancee is from Poland.....My fiancee is polish citizen, but has lived in London for 6 years.... our visa process is going through the London Embassy.

thanks a lot... It wasnt completely smooth, but it was successful! The interviewer gave her a hard time about the tourist visa she was denied in January to see me and her sister.... He had an attitude the whole time.... however she was never asked for tax returns or financial evidence aside from the I 134 itself... anyhow, we are soooo happy that she got approved... We are coming back to the states together on November 29th, after visiting her family fin poland for a couple weeks..... I cant believe it, and I cant wait!!!

Hi , any chances of telling us more details about questions asked rearding tourist visa?. i was denied it too, back in august... :-(
