Hi guys,

If I click on immi timelines it seems that in the month of October hardly anybody on VJ received AP. I just wanted to ask if people forgot to edit their timeline? I really need to know on what RD date Missouri is working to know when my AP will be done...

I am thinking about getting a notice from my grandma's doctor to get emergency AP soon. We want to fly in December, but I am insecure about if we get AP by then (RD 8/11, NOA 8/18, CRIS claims 8/21).

Thank you all!

(F) Anna

Thanks for your answer, seems nobody but me seems in line since August though... At least you were transfered to CSC! :)

Even on this tracker there is just one person with a NOA close to mine, and lucky person, he got AP already....

Hi,

AP

NOA1 22-Aug-06

Touched 02-Sep-06

Touched, approved, and documents mailed 31-Oct-06 (day 70)

Best of luck,

Rob

Terrific, thanks Rob. Over the past 3-6 months it has been taking people an average of 71-72 days from NOA1 to get AP approvals (assuming no RFE's). Your dates are almost identical to ours, so we are hoping for an approval by the end of next week (11/10).

We already have tickets to fly back to Canada for Thanksgiving, so that would work quite well (we used frequent flyer miles to book them, so there wouldn't be a charge if we have to postpone the flight).

Thank you so much for the info Rob. Hopefully, all of ours will come really soon as well... I know we all have similar timelines so... hoping for the best. We had gotten our EAD approved in 73 days...so I'm hoping for the same. Good luck to rest of you...Anna C. and AM1996. At least Rob's AP approval made me feel a little easier today and more hopeful and promising as well.

Btw Rob did you get any touches before the approval? Or does it just come? Anyway I made an infopass for November 13th to inquire about the status...

Good luck :)

By the way, USCIS has updated its processing timeline to show that on October 30th they were processing AP applications received on August 1st. Since most people are approved way before the times shown on the processing timelines, I use them for the worst case scenario purposes.

The significance of the latest update is in the fact that the AP processing has been shorted by about 12 days since the last update!

Wow yeah they really updated their processing times. Wow twice within a month, that's something new.

We should get our APs really soon then. My EAD was approved earlier than their processing dates promised.

A glimpse of hope Am1996! :) Thanks for sharing, I didn't even think about updated processing times yet!!!!!

I noticed that they changed the processing times on USCIS website this morning so I was hoping that I would get an approval email today but no luck yet. I was also hoping that they would at least touch my application. Does anyone know how they submit approvals? I mean... does a person sit there and goes through each individual application and then submit each email after it is approved? Or do you think there is stack of approved applications and a person submits approval emails all at once? If they do go through each individual applications... I hope I'm not the very last one in the stack. Either way... I'm so curious to understand why it takes them so long to approve applications. I will update as soon as I hear something from them... which I hope it will be very soon! fingers crossed.

The adjudicators are supposed to scan your file every time they do anything with it, which then shows up as a "touch." Once the approval notice (or, for that matter, any type of notice) is generated, it is also supposed to be scanned, so that the system reflects it and, if you have auto email notification enabled, sends us an email update. I don't think that any of us know, however, how far behind USCIS' system is in updating these scans or in what sequence the scans are done. As I am sure you also know, there have been plenty of reported instances where USCIS' online system did not reflect an update, yet an approval was still generated.

I realize that we are all anxious to receive an update on our cases but I don't know if trying to figure out the case adjudication mechanics will help us in any way. Instead of driving ourselves insane though, we are probably better off relaxing and waiting until the end of next week (11/10) for our approvals. Now, if I can only find a way to heed my own advice, I'll be in great shape :P

Hi Anna,

No, one touch on 02-Sep-06, then nothing until approval. There is meant to be a 70 query run at USCIS to pick up EADs to ensure they are processed on time. Maybe this is what got something moving. It sure is a coincidence if not.

Rob
