Hello,

It would seem that VCS and the NVS in NH have their act together. My NOA1 mailed 10/3/2006, NOA2 mailed 10/18/2006 and a letter mailed 10/23/2006 from NVS informed me that, "Within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place."

A case number for GUANGZHOU, China was also assigned to my case.

Does this seem normal?

Does the "within a week" in the above paragraph really mean a week?

My NOA2 was the same day as yours and our letter from the NVC was also dated 23rd October, looks like they really are working that fast. My fiance will be calling NVC this week to find out if they have sent on the petition.

Wow -- now I'm jealous.

That is an amazingly fast approval. Congrats!

To bad the government can't figure out a better way to balance the applications across processing centers. You'd think they could scan them all in and do it from a centralized database so that all applciations across the US go into one queue.
