Any Americans Going To Be In Manila Philippines Anytime During Nov 28 - Dec 18

Before I start let me say this - I'm not going to party. I have been married to a Filipina for over 4 years and love my wife very much. We just had a baby girl and can't travel with her yet so my wife is not going with me. We purchased a condo in Makati so I need to go there to do some things with the unit. It would be cool to have other Americans to hang out with because I will be alone. I will be staying in the Greenbelt Makati area.

I use to frequent Manila a lot while I lived in Cebu. If you do not get any responses then I suggest an English Pub in Makati called Howzatt to mingle. It is a nice place down close to the red light area but far enough away to not be bothered with the stuff or even see the street in that area. I found many nice foreigners in there just to chat and banter with. Food is great as well. Kitchen Manager is an American. Open for breakfast through early AM closing.. Or later is Soccer or Rugby is on.

Of course there is TGI Fridays and HRC just about 10 mins Taxi away in Glorietta. But you probably are aware of the mall area lol as your married lol.. Wish I were going then as I enjoy that part of Manila.

I'd definitely be game but I leave right when you get there. I stay in Makati too, I'm just going for the week of Thanksgiving... I do party a bit not like the locals though I can't hang past 2am. But I'm out all day too. I normally stay at New World hotel. If you go a little early let me know.

Greenbelt condo? so fancy haha, makati is awesome and one of my fav places in the philippines. Greenbelt is a nice mall lots of places to eat and shop. And its nice to walk around in makati, safe.

Yes it is. That's why I purchased a condo 1 block from Greenbelt mall. I love the area. I have a 2nd unit scheduled for turn over June 2013 in Mckinley Hill next to the Venetian Mall. Gonna move there in a few years.

I'll be there November 22(10PM) - December 2 (8AM). I'll be staying in Mataki the first two nights then off to Boracay for 7 nights then back to Mataki (or somewhere in Manila near the airport) for my last night. So excited! My first trip there and our first meeting!

Have fun Dustinto. Remember all the advice I sent you and don't worry so much about the other stuff. Boracay is a great place to start. It's been voted one of the best beaches in the world.
