Thank you all for your responses :)

We still insist on sending all of the pictures we chose, but from what we've read on other people's posts it seems that in many cases the consulates make their decisions even prior to any kinda direct contact with the couple or interview so since we are legitimate we do believe that more photos and more proofs we can submit won't hurt our process but less may have some pitfalls.

Not really otherwise we will need to post it on something like Jokejourney.com instead xD

I agree with you.

It's always interesting to read responses from 1st world countries on these matters. I think for UK embassy, the beneficiary just has to have a pulse and visa will be granted while others have to send everything seemingly including the kitchen sink. And even then no guarantees.

We did a collage on two pages that had 6 to 8 photos per page. Plain paper, black and white ink settings. Nothing nearly as fancy as all that...

I printed ours on (matte) white cardstock. We had 3 visits, and I arranged the evidence with everything from a given trip grouped together, with a cover sheet listing what was in the section, and then the photo page(s)[1-3 pages per trip, with 5 or 6 photos per page] as sort of introduction page showing the relevant details ("Trip 1: MM/DD/YYYY"). I liked using paper, as it allowed me to easily group relevant photos together and to provide captions (people in photo, date, location). Every photo I sent had both of us in it, except a set of 2 of us both in front of the same location.

Hi Ahmed,

We only sent two 8x10's with about 10 pictures on each, different sizes of course (like a collage). When I sent my original I129, I only sent two pictures LOL, I really didn't know to front-load at the time. One of the pictures was of me and him sitting in his home, the other was a picture of just me and his mother with her head resting on my shoulder smiling. The CO during the interview was only interested in the one of me and his mother, and held it the entire interview, occasionally looking at it Mohammed said. IDK why, but all the other pictures didn't matter LOL just that one.

Thank you Darlene for your input and hope Mohamed and you are doing very well where you are, and yeah we have pictures of Margaret bonding with mom, my sister, grandma, cousins' wives even with my 4 month old niece lol Trying to figure out and help my fiancee to prepare this since her school makes her days busy so we try to split the whole petition into tasks to accomplish whenever it's possible. We are optimistic about the upcoming step we are taking soon, and insha'Allah everything will go smooth. :)

For the petition, we sent one collage with 6 pictures from different times and places; and for the interview we made a collage for each trip or situation we were presenting. All printed with a high quality laser color printer on regular paper.

Argentina is a no hassle consulate, so they accepted the pictures like that; but if we had had to go to through a high fraud consulate, we would have printed the pictures on photo paper. Perhaps the high fraud consulates would also accept the collages on regular paper, but I know that if I had gone through one of those, I would have felt better presenting all the evidence in a "professional" way.

I can only imagine myself using all of Martha Stewart's stationary rofl.gif

I printed them out on plain cheap paper. Four photos per 8 1/2 X 11 sheet with dates and description under each photo. I think I sent a total of 12 photos.

I'm sure I didn't get any style points.

From someone who took 4 folders full of all kinds of chat history, 1 folder with at least 60+ photos printed on glossy photo paper plus all the documents and forms requested I would say take as many photos as you want, use the glossy paper because it does look better and if you want, later you can put the pictures on a frame or album like I did. Take as much evidence as you can, the more the better and on a high fraud country I would recommend it.

On my interview day, when my fiance (now husband) and I entered the CO's room for the interview, as soon as he told us we could sit down, we just put all those folders on the table which probably scared him lol In the end it worked out perfect because he didn't ask for pictures, any chat history or any evidence at all but he knew we were prepared if he did. People got amazed on how much stuff we had but I am pretty sure if I did not have all that evidence with me that day, he would've asked for something I wouldn't have in hands. Good luck!

N0, common sense should prevail, with a huge case load would you take time to look at a bunch of photos or a few choice ones? It is the totality of your documents and evidence which makes the decision not a ton of paper.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

It matters so little that some have even printed them side by side on plain paper and gotten approvals, allegedly.

I did this with no problems. I took them to Staples and photocopied them on plain white paper. No RFE, no issues.

Also, 100 photos is overkill. We sent in about 30 and I think even that was way too much!

I mean since you are already going all out and sending 100 pictures... Might as well go glossy. Whats that saying "go hard or go home" i hope your not also including 1000 pages of chat logs.

It's true you should front-load, but don't go overboard or they might get irritated  . I made color copies of about 8 photos. We weren't even together in several of the photos, but just standing in front of the same landmark or rented car :P. Only in two of the pictures were we together, and we had none of any family members at all. Just think in moderation. What they want to see, in my opinion, is down to earth, common sense decisions that the two of you are making and that your relationship seems sound.

I did this for the new album. In the initial application, I just included pictures with us together. In the second album, IN included some where we took pictures of each other, so it was clear that we were together.

First batch was 7, I think. Now I have a mini album that holds 30-something. We'll have it almost full at the interview. Easy to flip through.

Overkill is when you spend time waiting for an approval to get finally a life with the one you love and in the end you get denied without any reason to mention. Knowing that Canada, China, + any kinda European countries or 1st world countries are not as tough as what people face in consulates such as the Moroccan one.

Thank you all again especially those who are respectfully responding to our questions and concerns :)
