I am also an American but we are not off we are working so why cant NVC :innocent::lol:

Yup me too... no off here...I am working Big Time!!!! Thank you pgupta for calling and making sure or else I would have been the first caller for NVC :P on Monday 8th. So I guess Tuesday is going to be very busy for the NVC operators :yes: . Oh God! no matter what the day I just wish they have better information to give when we all call next week :blush::wacko:

Oh cool! A fellow American!! good.gif I was wondering if I was the only USC petitioning for spouse (and not the other way around)

And yeah, I have to work ~5 hours that day, too. Courts are closed but the law office ain't. Woo hoo for extra hours.

USCIS - CSC/LOCAL OFFICE DC

12/5/11: NOA1

4/25/12: Case Transferred to Local Office (DC) for "Additional Processing"

4/27/12: Case Received at Local Office

5/15/12: RFE (daughter's birth cert)

5/15/12: RFE Evidence Sent (never received)

8/10/12: Infopass, evidence handed to officer adjudicating case

8/13/12: NOA2

NVC

8/20/12: Case Received

8/31/12: Case #/IIN Received

8/31/12: DS3032 Sent

9/11/12: ERROR MESSAGE! biggrin.png

9/13/12: AOS and IV bill INVOICED, Made AOS and IV bill payments, Mailed AOS and IV paperwork via USPS Priority Mail

9/14/12: AOS/IV marked as PAID

9/17/12: AOS delivered

9/20/12: IV delivered

9/25/12: AOS reviewed/accepted

9/26/12: IV reviewed/accepted

This thread is for IR1/CR1 and most people are americans, waiting for their spouces. you know i even wrote to Obama regarding this unfair wait for citizen's spouse while H1 and L1 can bring their spouses with them.

My wife and her family are planning big going away party for her in Morocco for when I return...and somehow I am stuck paying for it. At least its worth it :)

My family is doing the same as they have only spoken to her on skype...They want to do a big formal reception thing, which has my wife excited and me going crazy.

Their spouses can't work though. Several of my H1-B friends have bored wives at home. Unless, they get sponsored their own h1-b which is really hard if you're not in technology.

Its a week of celebartion in California of which a day or two in las vegas for me and my hubbbbyyyyyyyyyyyy :dance: :dance: :dance: ..... I think this topic is getting me all excited.......:star::D

L2 wifes can work, and even they have plan to allow H4 wifes to grant EAD. and H1 is a dual intent visa.

worst thing is you can marry a person who is on visitor visa in US or even illigaly entered and they can adjust status to GC without leaving US.

I'm afraid my husband won't be home until after Valentine's Day. Who knows how we'll celebrate being reunited after 1 1/2 years apart. I'd imagine with a lot of... devil.gif
