Yes ronNsheng, unfortunately this is true. I takes about a month to receive an interview date. Use this "limited time" to prepare for your honey's homecoming, interview or finish some things you've been putting off getting done. Staying occupied will make the time pass by quickly!

Another suggestion, and what many of us do here... jump on a forum and help someone else that's going through the steps you have already completed! Encourage and assist!

I'll be here soon. Okay when you get that October date you can't bail on this thread now. You started it you got to finish it. hehe.

My girl, you know I'm hoping you hit that first week (November 1st or 2nd) cause I will still be home and I want to be home with you!!! I still say God gave me a very late interview date to allow you time to catch up and be there at the same time! It's happening!

At this time, we are awaiting for interview dates in November. Follow this topic, and discuss issues that are coming up following case completions in September or Earlier October and celebrate with those who have recieved their interview dates.

I wasn't in the October forum because that list is on the IR-1/CR-1 subforum. I'm on IR-5. I'm petitioning my mother. There's not much activity in the IR-5 subforum so I usually check for news in the IR-1. I keep telling my husband that I'm so glad I'm already here. The process these days is just a lot longer than when I came here on K-1 visa seven years ago!

I did recieve an email from the Casablanca consulate this morning saying that they are not done scheduling interviews yet...fingers crossed. Inshallah I will get one and so will my fellow VJers.

Thanks Dana. Lots of work to do to prepare for my wife's arrival and in the mean time, I can share all of my expeirences and help other out.

did you email consulate to ask?

Yes. I emailed them 2 days ago, and the got back to me today stating they are still working on October. You can find the email address on the embassy webiste to assist you in the process.
