Why am I addicted to check this thread often? It's not going to make NVC to assign an interview date faster and yet I keep checking this thread for updates still...... I should get a job! Oh wait. I do have one.

I am a bit confused. Our case was completed(already on the list) September 17. When I call NVC they said they are waiting on the embassy so they can assign the interview date. If this is the case hwy are we tracking DHL deliveries or is that a K-1 thing?

Also they told me the kids could be assigned an interview date BEFORE their dad depending on the embassy interview slots. Has anyone heard of this?

K-1 applicants don't submit papers to NVC. IR applicants do. K-1 applicants schedule their own interviews. IR applicants wait for the embassy to give them their capacity and NVC schedules interview dates based on capacity given to them by each embassy.

The deliveries being tracked are the IR-1/CR-1 cases (and pretty much anything else that is not K-1) being forward after interviews are allocated.
