DS-230 question 31a

Hi all,

Wife and I are filling out DS-230.

RE: question 31a, should we put me (US citizen/petitioner)?

The question asks: 'persons named in 14 and 29 that will accompany you to the United States now'.

I am currently living abroad and I will travel back to the US with my wife. I was named in question 14, however I am a US citizen and thus don't need a visa.

So should I put myself? I think I should according to the 'instructions'. But I also saw some posts saying that 31a only asks about people IMMIGRATING to the US on a visa. However, there is nothing in the form or elsewhere from the department of state that says this.

Advice/experience appreciated.

Thanks.
