Everybody,

I'm confused how to update the service center in timeline.

The instruction indicates that I should choose the original service center even if my case is transfered to another center.

I submitted I-129F to P.O. Box 660151, Dallas, TX 75266.

Should I elect Texas service center?

Is timeline here accurate?

The place where you've submitted your file is just a sorting facility in Texas. That is not the Texas Service Center. As Phil & Alla said, you should have received a first notice of action by mail. Look at the bottom of it, and you should know if your case is being processed at Vermont Service Center or California Service Center (the only two centers that process I-129F petitions).

Timelines estimates are based on data inputed by VJ members, so it is as accurate as people enters well or not their infos. Keep in mind these are just estimates, so don't pay too much attention to it (especially the first few months after you submitted your package). Your petition may be faster or longer to be adjudicated than the estimation dates.

never use the lockbox for which service center you are.

instead, you use the service center referenced in the I-797-C formletter, the receipt notice (we call it an NOA-1 here)

study the receipt #, it has 3 letters in it - EAC is Vermont, WAC is California.

Then make yer edit accordingly.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
