IV Bill vs. AOS Bill :/

Hey guys,

I have yet to receive physical communication in the post from NVC, however I have just taken receipt of 2 emails, one with the attached DS-3032 form, (which I have eagerly completed and am posting first thing in the morning) and the other email requesting $88 for the Affidavit of Support (AOS) processing fee.

I've noted my mother in law in the U.S as my "Agent" and she is paying the $88 dollars on mine and my husbands behalf using the online payment method, noting herself as the "Third Party Agent" when making the payment. Firstly, as the NVC have yet to receive my choice of Address and Agent in the post, will there be any complication from this 'as yet' unknown persons (my mother in law) making the payment for us? or it should be kosher?

Also, I'm updating my Timeline, and was interested to find out, if the "IV Bill" is the same as the Affidavit of Support fee? I have searched online for guidance with what the IV Bill is, but I am unsure if its just a different term or not?

As always many thanks.

Kelli

Kelli - as per your first question, i don´t really know the answer, but i understand that as long as the bill is paid, they don´t much care who forked over the cash. maybe a VJer with more experience can respond?

for your 2nd question - study this, memorize this, paste it to your mirror if you have to. NVC is a lot of back and forth, and this pdf explains it well - http://www.visajourney.com/examples/NVC_Process_Flowchart_v1-2.pdf

you can see that the AOS and the IV are 2 seperate simultaneous tracks. you as petitioner take care of the AOS...your spouse or elected agent takes care of getting together the IV app.

also - take a look at the sept filers thread....http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/386421-nvc-filers-september-2012/page__st__510

the the first 2 posts have a ton of info.....get reading! :)
