If your husband received a document with AP (Administrative Processing) stated on it then your file is not being returned to the United States for review. Congratulations, you will only need to wait for the AP process to complete.

The timing varies for everyone, hopefully yours goes quickly. If I remember correctly, our AP was somewhere between 8-10 weeks. I can recommend waiting about 10 days, if your husband does not hear from the consulate, call the Department of State at: 202-663-1225 to inquire on the status of your case.

The DOS will tell you whether the case is still in AP or not, they can't provide specific details, but it is helpful to know whether it is still being processed or not. When you call, and they say your case is still in Administrative Processing, wait an additional week before calling again.

I called once a week until our AP was completed, usually on a Friday morning. The last call I made I was notified that processing was complete and my husband should be contacted by the consulate soon. The next Monday he was called to bring in his passport so they could issue his visa, he was able to pick it up the same afternoon.

Since the consulate already has his passport, the call your hubby should receive will be to pick up his passport with issued visa, hopefully the wait will not be long. Good luck to you and Congratulations! :)

I am so sorry you are going through this, but please know that you aren't alone, and this is not the end by any means. There is a wealth of information linked in my signature below, I suggest you read the first link to start with:

~ Returns & Refusals...What They Don't Tell You ~

You need to have your fiancé scan the paper he was given at the conclusion of the interview, and email it to you immediately. Also remember, this is not a hard denial, returned petition/application is a refusal to issue a visa via DOS form 221g. This 221g should state that the file is being returned for further review. The 221g could also provide additional information...there have been other cases where more information is needed by the consulate and they use the same form 221g but the beneficiary thought they were being denied. So, it is extremely important that you get a scanned copy of it sent to you asap so you can read it for yourself.

When you get it, you can respond in this forum with the wording it has on it. We can then better assist you by pointing you in the direction of what options you have as a next step, but we really need to know the exact wording of the 221g. If you decide to post the actual form here, please remember to remove any identifying personal information such as petitioner/beneficiary name, case number, etc.

It is important to act quickly, and precisely so begin reading the link I provided above as it does give you an idea of what happens to a returned petition/application as well as options you might have especially in the beginning of the process.

There are other helpful links in my signature that when you have the time you should also read. I will watch for your next post.

I read you are having trouble getting in contact with your fiancé, call the Department of State at: 202-663-1225 to inquire on the status of your case. They can tell you what was issued as the database is updated frequently.

Continue to attemt to get in touch with him, by phone, text, email, chat...every avenue you have at your disposal. Good luck, I hope you can get in touch with him quickly.

is Morocco a bad country to be dineded this is all wht i wanna know

Morocco is a high fraud post which is the main reason there are so many visa refusals. It is very unfortunate and extremely frustrating for legitimate relationships who get caught in the battle between the consulate and immigration fraud as the issue keeps families separated.

So yes, it can be difficult for many, and yet simple and pain free for some. However, there are many factors at play such as the quality of the original file presented to the consulate before interview, the immigration officer reviewing the contents of the file and beneficiary's application, how the interview plays out, possible red flags whether addressed in the original file or not, etc.

I have often said that this consulate knows who they are going to refuse even before the beneficiary is standing in front of them, and it is up to the beneficiary to convince them they are in fact eligible to receive the visa and the relationship is valid. So I feel it is very important to understand the quality of what is sent with the original file can easily determine the outcome, on top of what may happen during the interview when the beneficiary is questioned such as what happened to Twisted K.

By reading details Twisted K provided in another forum I can clearly see the consulate was prepared to refuse her fiancee's visa and successfully did so by asking questions that many husbands would not know of their wives like neice/nephew full names, addresses, birthdates, her supervisor names of her last 5 jobs. I can't tell you why the immigration officer felt he had to resort to this method other than it was the only way he could refuse the visa, but I have seen this before in Morocco.

I can tell you this, I don't remember my own supervisor's names for the last 5 jobs, and I was the employee. I remember only the one's that made a difference in my career for the last 3 jobs I have held as an IT professional in the past 15 years. I am also the type of person who has to remind themselves of family birthdays other than my own husband and child. So to expect a fiance to know this type of information off the top of their head is a bit ridiculous, but this is how some cases are handled.

All anyone can do is to make sure all of your i's are dotted, and t's are crossed with the petition and application, provide quality evidence of the relationship with the original petition, make sure any possible red flags are addressed up front in the original petition...basically leave no room for doubt before the file even gets to the consulate.
