Thanks for the advice, we are just patient as we think since they have not returned the passport there might still be a chance. My Fiancee calls the DOS like everyday and they just keep telling her someone is still having a look at it, so let's see how long they are gonna hold that for. We go home in September so am hoping they can send it back before then. It just sucks that one has to wait for an approval from USCIS, then the case goes to the embassy and they decide to screw one over but one thing is this...As long as you have a valid relationship and a clean record, it might take years but they will still have no choice but to auth it.

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me as far as when they send back your petition for further review to Vermont if it has to go some where else first

YES...IT GOES TO NVC FRAUD UNIT

and also does Casablanca take forever to send it out...

DEPENDS...WHEN THERE IS A DIPLOMATIC POUCH FULL THEY SEND IT.

Also how long it takes for them to send you a letter letting you know what the review is about

IT COULD TAKE AS LITTLE AS FOUR MONTHS TO FOREVER...DEPENDS WHERE YOU FILED THE PETITION

plus is there anything I can do in the mean time

YES, BUT PLEASE TELL US WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR CASE, THEN I WILL KNOW HOW TO ADVISE.

Thank u in advance for any help you can give me

YOU ARE SO WELCOME

i see no one responded so i thought i would try to help you out if i can. please give the deatils of your case.

1 what type of petition

2 what service center you filled at

3 were you denied a a visa? (sorry but it sounds like that is the issue)or in AP?

4 do you know why?

5 what was the date of the interview?

6 what does the 221g letter say?

I agree we need to get this pinned.

I got the 221(g) and this happened to me just yesterday in the morning. unfortunetly the lady that interview people in the consulate of Casablanca, that lady is strange. they are only 2 ladies that interview for the K-1 visas and they are both weird. can you imagine her asking me what do your fiance do with her kids and how your fiance play with her kids !!!!!? and what do she do for fun !!! and you all have to know that if you fail to answer even 1 question, you will be denied because of insufficiency of proofs of relationship. pfffffffffff what a strange mind they have, how come if MY FIANCE HERSELF APPLIED FOR ME IN THE US !! how can she apply for me if i don't know her ? and who is with me on the pictures !!! they just want to ger people borred of the process, because when it come to invistigations about people, they can easily know even what do you eat everyday in your home and not only if you have a real relationship with your fiance !! strange strange strange.

Actually, I CAN imagine her asking about your fiance's kids and what she does for fun... those are things that I would hope you know all about if you want to get married to her. Did you not know how to answer those questions?

We all hope that everyone has good intentions, but the truth is that there is fraud in fiance/spouse visas. Yes she applied for her but sadly that does not necessarily mean that she knows you.

Good luck.

there are 2

one says they are returning your case to USCIS

the other says they are doing security checks

did you need some help or were you just blowing off steam? (which BTW is ok)

as to your questions...well casa is a high fraud consulate so they are doing their job to make sure you are real. be happy, at least she tried! in our case we didnt even have that courtesy!

let me know if you need some help

These are not strange questions at all, in fact they are some of the best questions I have heard. Her attempt was to see how well you know your fiance. From what I understand there is a large amount of people here in the US that are being paid to bring over foreigners. People who are not in a legitimate relationship wouldn't know these simple personal details about another persons life. I wish they had asked my husband questions like these rather than send our petition back. I wish they would have asked him what side of the bed I sleep on, do I snore, what are my favorite foods, etc. Sure he could lie, but usually people are prepared with things that can be backed up, these questions would catch them off guard and cause enough of a hesitation that would give a valid reason to question the validity. Some of the reasons they send petitions back are insane.

So what happened with your visa? Did you get it or the dreaded 221g?

Hi Everyone,

I think I might have some good news in regards to our petition possibly being Reaffirmed, but I'm unsure. My fiance had his interview August 3, and he received the "Petition Being Returned to USCIS for Further Review" 221G. I followed Chiquita's advice and immediately sent email to the Consulate requesting a reconsideration/2nd interview, contacted 2 Senators, and 1 Congressman, and I also faxed a very detailed letter to the Chief Consul thoroughly explaining our situation and requesting that he take the time to review the large file of evidence. I also had my parents and a friend fax letters of support/concern. At first when I called DOS to inquire about the case status, they said its "Denied/Recommended for Return to USCIS". Now when I call they are telling me it's in "Administrative Processing" and they have no record of a denial status. I really don't know how to interpret that as of now, and I would rather be cautious than jump to conclusions. A friend of Driss had his interview the same day, was also denied, and they sent his petition back already. I wonder why ours didn't go back at that same time since they had the "diplomatic pouch" ready.

Also, DOS informed me that the "Name Checks" in Washington were completed before the interview, and we are in "AP in Casablanca." I don't know if it's a good sign, or if they might still return it after the AP is completed. I would love to hear any ideas, advice, or input, especially from anyone who has had experience with having a denial overturned, and having a petition reaffirmed.

Thanks and Hope Everyone's enjoying a Mellow Weekend,

Iysha
