VFS Mumbai Process CHANGE

-No more fees as far as I know. We thought they would ask for courier fee at the consulate but no, they are mailing passports without any fees.

-My wife did not go to OFC. They take biometrics at the consulate.

-They did not ask for the PDF confirmation page. But it is a good practice to have all the documents, just in case.

-As for the required documents - your interview letter, VFS website and VJ forum will help with that. We took all documents from start of the visa process till now.

-I don't believe there is a same day option. Before we could have picked it up at VFS but that office is no longer there. And since we do the online registration and put our mailing address and pick-up preference, we don't know where the passport will go from consulate. So imo, its better to just wait a few days. From what I've read, it only takes 3-4 days to get to your home anyways.

anybody here who could tell me step by step process to Register a document delivery address at the USTRAVEL.docs for CR1 VISA? I tried many time it was keep taking me to schedule an appointment. I filled up everything and select a pickup site but after hitting continues it says no appointment available. I am not trying to make any appointment. I called helpline but they do not know anything.

I know alot of you guys were successful doing that and got a confirmation page. Please let me know. My spouse Interview in Delhi. Thanks

My husband had submitted required documents along with his passport and 221G at VFS office in mumbai on Sep 14th. now since the VFS process has changed and so has the site we are unable to track his passport. can someone please help and tell whats the process for the people who submitted documents at VFS before sep 26th? how can we track our passport for immigrant visa - CR-1 for USA.

I do have the confirmation page printed out but to give you step by step guidance I was trying to get on the website but it does not get connected and redirects me to some other US travel website. So hopefully whenever I am able to get to the site again i will update you asap. Sorry for now Tycoon. It is very simple if you choose the right option from the site's left side menu bar.

I have the same problem. Whenever I try to access the website it redirects me to some ####### website. I am accessing it from US. Hope they wake up and fix this issue.

yeah i have tried the link u posted. it says that passport is under process at US Consulate and this site stopped workin after 26th :/ now suddenly its up. dunno whats going on.

These are the steps I followed

1 Clicked on lV Document Registration Link

2 Clicked on Visa type and select Immigrant Visa

3 Picked the post New Delhi

4 Picked the language of Interview

5 Select the "All Immigrant Visa Option" (There were two options Immigrant and K visa)

6 Picked the Visa Class (CR-1)

7 It asked me to check if all the info was correct and I hit continue.

8 Personal data page. I filled up all the required info.

9. It asked me if i had any dependent. answer was no. I hit continue again

10. Select document delivery address which i did. I hit continue again.

11. Now I arrived on this weird page stating thay "There are currently no appointments available" WTH?

I do not know what I am doing wrong. I had tried this numerous time but no luck. Please correct me if i am doing something wrong. Thanks

Your steps are not what I am able to access, for some reason the steps you mentioned are mixed with that of 'scheduling interview' and thats when you get the the "currently no interview..." prompt. Since I already registered these are the steps I see on logging back in now:

1. Click on IV ADDRESS REGISTRATION tab on the left
2. Under ALL IV select IR-1 and hit CONTINUE
3. next page showed SELECTED INFORMATION to confirm before moving on. This page looked like this for me but it didnot ask me to select language and so its blank

Visa Type: Immigrant visa

State of residence: xxxxxx

language of Interview:

Visa category: NVC scheduled appoinment

Visa class: IR1

post of Interview: Mumbai

5.Once I saw this information was all good I hit continue it takes me to my personal information page, to check information or to make changes if needed and hit continue. Again at this point I was not asked about dependents.

Oh i'm sorry, maybe it is visa specific. Did you try calling the vfs helpline number? I hope someone with CR-1 visa type who have already got their confirmation get back to you soon.

Thanks for the Input. I tried no luck called VFS wasted my time. I follow same step capri followed i am keep ending up in "No appointment available page".

is your interview in Delhi? I know everybody in Mumbai was able to register but i did not even see one guy or gal from delhi. anybody?
