Any Idea when is a good time to get police certificate? My wife is in Cambodia and she says it takes one month to get the police Certificate. My PD is April 24 (VSC) which means I should get NAO2 within the next 30 days. Any advice on how to approach this. Police certificates issued from Cambodia are only valid for 3 months. All advice are much appreciated.

You should wait until you get notice of approval from Vermont's before your wife get police certificate. She can get police certificate less than one month, but it costs more. I checked the fee for police certificate last couple of weeks, and I was told that it costs 100US Dollars and it takes 12 days to get it. My fiance and I are still waiting for approval from Vermont's before I can go get police certificate at the Ministry of Justice, because we don't want it to look too old on my interview appointment day. Your receipt notice date April 24, you will probably get approval next month. Good luck to you!

Relax and wait for NOA2 at least at NVC.

The police certificate itself cost $2.5 dollars. Let the lady at the front desk complete it for you, it costs $5. Take 30 days.

Don't even try to complete it by herself, ask me how I knew this.

Good luck.

faster more money, it cost my wife $100. It took about two weeks. The most important question is how both of you met. Lots of evidence bonafide relationship.

Old topic but hoping to revive. I'm assuming you had to get the certificate translated from Khmer to English? Any recommendations of where to get this done?

My fiance in Cambodia got the certificate done as part of the package with all the other forms. And I was there to pick it up from the translating service. The name of the company is called GO Translating Service.

A quick google yeilds this http://yp.com.kh/listings/kh15003-go-co-ltd-translation-interpreting

It's fairly close to the Central Market because I had to walk from there all the way to their office to pick up the documents.
