Cite? California and New York alone probably make that unlikely.

It was discussed here, before.

Google search also yields results.

I was talking percentage and not numbers, I should have been clearer.

Hint: There are more blue states than red states, and the population of the blue states is almost twice that of the red states, just looking at the number of electors.

Hint: Here are the 10 states that rely the most on food stamps:

South Carolina, Maine, West Virginia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Tennessee, Oregon and Mississippi.

6/10 of those went red in 2008.

You may find that hard to prove as well, once you get past the top ten (six of the top ten are indeed red states).

And? Last I heard, there were 57 or 58 states, including the "mystery states".

So, there is a problem. Glad we can agree on that. Hopefully, they will start looking harder, and they may find even more. Even one fraudulent vote compromises the integrity of the system, and the faith of the American electorate in the election process.

Each fraudulently cast vote is a problem equal in size to each person constitutionally eligible to vote who is prevented by voter ID laws and other repub strategies from doing so! The former is measured in single and possibly double digits. The latter is measured in the tens and hundreds of thousands! Are you capable of doing the math to make the comparison as to which is the real problem?

Why is making the election system more secure such a threat to the liberals, unless they can't succeed without cheating? That is the question. Given the history of elections won through fraud in the US, I know the answer.

Also, to paraphrase a famous American, those who are willing to give up their rights/liberties for security are destined to lose both!

I see. Don't ask any questions. Just accept the ballots and count them. Good strategy.

A partial answer to the other question is that some basic international requirements for a fair election are missing in Florida.

The most significant of these requirements are:

• A nonpartisan electoral commission or a trusted and nonpartisan official who will be responsible for organizing and conducting the electoral process before, during and after the actual voting takes place. Although rarely perfect in their objectivity, such top administrators are at least subject to public scrutiny and responsible for the integrity of their decisions. Florida voting officials have proved to be highly partisan, brazenly violating a basic need for an unbiased and universally trusted authority to manage all elements of the electoral process.

• Uniformity in voting procedures, so that all citizens, regardless of their social or financial status, have equal assurance that their votes are cast in the same way and will be tabulated with equal accuracy. Modern technology is already in use that makes electronic voting possible, with accurate and almost immediate tabulation and with paper ballot printouts so all voters can have confidence in the integrity of the process. There is no reason these proven techniques, used overseas and in some U.S. states, could not be used in Florida.

The top poorest states in the country are red states. Just because there are more people in the blue states doesn't mean that they automatically require more government assistance. It depends on more than just population.
