Glad to hear you're felling better today doodle :)

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

-Qur'an, Al-Infitar, Surah 82:1-5

I know this is kind of random ( and I really should be working and not on here!!! ) but one thing I was afraid of when I converted was that I would miss drinking my wine at night. Well up until now, and it's been I think 2 1/2 months or so, I haven't even missed it!!!

The friday drinkin' beer golfing thing just made me think of that. lol

I haven't touched alcohol in almost 3 years now and I haven't missed it at all. You'll be amazed how conscious you become of how big a part it plays socially in American society. It cracks me up how many have asked me when I tell them I don't drink, "Oh, I'm sorry. Are you alcoholic?"

Thursday already? This week is passing so quickly, and I still have so much to do! Our wedding is next Sat., and I still have so many last-minute details to fix. At least I only have today, tomorrow, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to get through with work and then I am off for almost 2 weeks! Then, it'll be the wedding, and then we're off on our honeymoon! I haven't had any vacation time in over a year, so I am SO excited!

I didn't get to VJ much yesterday due to entertaining Mohammed's cousins and friends. My kanafa didn't turn out very well. I think I need to use more cheese and cook it less. We made soooooooo much food! A good time was had by all, but today my kitchen is a mess! I am at work today, so I can't even clean til tonight.

I will attempt today to post a pic here of the festivities.

Hmmm, wasn't sure where to post this....

Does anyone else think that the approval rate through Casa has been going way down? I fear they may at some point start denying family-based visas altogether. Not to alarm anyone, but it seems like a huge problem!
