Hey everyone,

My fiance's case has been sitting in the Kabul embassy for over 5 months now and we've heard nothing back. I believe its time to contact a state senator. Does VJ have an example form to follow on emailing a senator to make an inquiry on our case? Or if anyone can share what they wrote in their email, it would be great. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you

Welcome to the forum.

Ah, ....that would be the one of the two Senators elected from your state, not a state senator in your state. Go online and find the Senator's website, many have online forms for their constituents to fill out with their concern/issue and then submit.

Good luck on getting your issue resolved.

Phoning will be far more effective. It's an election year of course. They want to curry favor with every potential voter.

You will get a response and some paper shuffling. There really isn't much more that a US Senator or Representative can do.

thanks for the reply everyone,

no, he is not in AP. He hasnt even gotten an interview yet. Our NOA2 expired, but I heard it can be extended by the consulate, so that's not my concern. I just want him to have his interview already and waiting 5 months after our NOA2 for an interview is too long of a wait!

I'm sorry I'm still totally confused.

So, did you receive NOA2 or you haven't? How can you be waiting 5 months after your NOA 2 blink.gif
