Just had our interview in Portland, Oregon. We waited in the waiting room up stairs with a bunch of other couples and singles waiting for their InfoPass appointments.

When we were finally called in (about 30 minutes after our appointment time), an officer led us back to her office and swore us in. Then she said she would be interviewing me (the US citizen) first. She went straight in and asked me my husbands full name, birthday, and our address. Then she started asking about my I-864 (which we qualified for based on assets). She wasn't very happy that we didn't have a steady income, but was satisfied with my answers and finally started asking my husband his mandatory questions from the I-485. She also made him go over each and every one of his entries into the US (which has been about 6 times now) asking about when he came in on VWP and his student visa, the months and days that he came in and how long he stayed. I was surprised that she seemed so interested in that.

Finally she said she was going to go ahead and approve us and gave us the acceptance letter, along with the speech about removing conditions in two years. She said the green card would arrive in about a week to 10 days.

All in all the interview was about 1 hour. Still, I am so happy we were approved :)

I have one question about the paper IO gave you is it the Welcome to the United States letter with ROC condition with your A#,your country and date of interview????THANKS

I have one question about the paper IO gave you is it the Welcome to the United States letter with ROC condition with your A#,your country and date of interview????THANKS

It doesn't seem to be the Welcome letter, it actually starts by saying "Hand Delivered," then "Pursuant to Section 216 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, you have been granted conditional permanent resident status in the United States." And a little bit about when to file the removal of conditions. It doesn't say "Welcome" anywhere. Hopefully that will come soon. Did you get the same letter?

the letter states: Dear adjustment of status applicant Welcome to the United States your applicant has been approved and ROC condition..with date of tinterview,CR6,and my Philippines....so i guess its a welcome letter

Yay! Today around 4:30 I got a text telling me to check our case status online, and after logging on my husband's green card production has been ordered! That was quick!

It looks like they were late that day, we got called 45 minutes after our interview time.

Which officer interviewed you? I had a lady too, I think her name was Officer West. Blonde, she was wearing a bright colored cardigan (purple or blue I can't remember).

But our interview was a little different, she interviewed me (the applicant) first and then my husband. She also asked for when I came in the US with my different visas. And also got approved on the spot :)

June 6th, 2012: mailed AOS/EAD/AP

June 8th, 2012: packet delivered

June 11th, 2012: acceptance

June 13th, 2012: received text messages and emails confirming application reception

June 14th, 2012: checks cashed

June 15th, 2012: received hard copies of NOAs (dated June 12th)

July 2nd, 2012: received biometrics appointment letter, scheduled on July 17th

July 17th, 2012: biometrics appointment completed at 10am

August 12th, 2012: interview notice received, scheduled on September 17th

August 15th, 2012: EAD and AP card production (on the 70 day mark!)

August 24th, 2012: EAD card received

September 17th, 2012: AOS interview - Approved!

I can't remember our lady's name, but I think she was wearing a long sleeved shirt with flowers all over it, with brown hair. At least she was a senior enough officer and able to approve us!

Different lady then. That would have been funny to be approved by the same one.

So glad it was successful for you too. I would have hated leaving the building not knowing...
