It is unlikely the airline would let her fly that late. What visa is she entering on?

You should check out with the airlines. For example, Royal Air Moroc allows upto 8 months.

Pregnant Women

Pregnant women are accepted on Royal Air Maroc to the eighth month of pregnancy at the date of the outgoing trip. The passenger must possess a medical certificate issued by a gynaecologist stipulating the stage of the pregnancy. A disclaimer of responsibility must also be signed by the passenger.

Before anything, the woman needs to see her doctor (or OB/GYN). That person is the best to determine whether or not it's safe for a woman who's at or over the 36 weeks. Secondly, the airplane(and specific airport) that the woman will be departuring from.

She has to have the right visa, otherwise the likelyhood of her being turned away at POE is quite big(search for anchor babies and you'll see why). Having the right visa is a start.

The child can join after being born in home country, how depends on if the father is a US citizen or not. The process is different when the father is a US citizen because the child is not eligible for a visa then.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

No they will not allow you to board the plane, and also you can be turned away at POE.

off topic question, if the baby is born on the plane, i hear they can fly that airline for free the rest of his/her life, is that true?

 Good One!!!

above anything else, i think the physical welfare of the mother and unborn baby should be considered FIRST rather than worrying about the baby's visa.

if i were the pregnant mother, i wouldn't risk traveling abroad on my 7th month onwards.
