G325A - Parents' birth dates unknown

Hi everyone,

Has anyone ever experienced this: My fiance, the beneficiary, his parents never had birth certificates issued. They don't know their birth dates or even how old they are. I know this is fairly common in poor countries, I just wonder if it has been a problem for anyone on here writing "UNKNOWN" on that part of the G-325A form (and other forms where parents info of the beneficiary is required).

Thankfully his parents thought it was important for all their children to have birth certificates, so my fiance has one.

Would love some advice!

I would put unknown. My husband put unknown for his dad's birthday as they are not in contact since he was little.

You might try a local governmental official to find out what can be done to determine their birth dates. If this is a common problem in Yemen there should be a process to help determine the birth date. Try to find out if there are any school documentation, church documentation, baptism dates and documents, and so on. This will help.
