We just received information that my Mother-in-law has an appointment at the Bogota Embassy on October 1st! We are scrambling now to get everything prepared. We have gone through the long process of applying for her green card becuase it was not possible to get her a tourist visa. Additionally, my wife (USC) will not be able to make the trip with such short notice, so my Mother-in-law will attend by herself. I have a couple of questions I am wondering if anyone with this experience can help me out?

1. What types of questions will they ask her during the interview?

2. When do you receive the visa if approved? Can you pick it up that day or do they use DHL to ship it to her home city?

3. The letter we received with the appointment date said fees were paid, all documents were received and verified. What does she need to be prepared with when she goes there? Will there be additional costs (besides the medical stuff, we already have that arranged) and does she need to bring anything besides copies of the paperwork we already submitted, her passport, and passport photos?

Any help with these questions would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks!
