How to label photos---please help

In the Interview check list for IV applicants of US embassy there is an instruction about the proof of relationship. They tell that on wedding pictures or other photos "Please label the photos, clearly identifying the petitioner and each beneficiary". How can I clearly label on the photos? should I print the label and stick on photos or write on it or write on backside. We really cannot understand what to do. Please help

We wrote on the back of the photo. Including every person in the photo and their relationship to us. Also indicating the two of us by our full names and with 'petitioner' or 'beneficiary' written in brackets beside the name to which it belonged.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much, it will help. I have one more question to you, how you indicate yourselves (beneficiary and petitioner) on photo? Do you just write your name on back side of the photo or there is also some indication sign on the photo. Sorry for being confused, your reply will be really helpful

Like I said, we just wrote everyone who appears in the photo on the back. Then when we got to ourselves we wrote "Sarah Middlename Lastname (Beneficiary), Jacob Middlename Lastname (Petitioner)" and continued on with listing the remaining people in photo (if there were more).

If I had an example picture I'd put it here.

Also, we included before listing the names a brief description of where the photo was taken, what month/year, and OF COURSE our case number once we had one.

Best of luck!

This is my wife did: she took an album with sequential pictures of our engagement, Gaye-holud, wedding and reception. Even 6 pictures from each would make quiet a few pictures. We had one/two of us an rest of the four/five with groups, two of us with her family (gang of people) and with my family members (another gang with parents, siblings, if they are married their husbands and kids).

We did not again I repeat DID NOT label any picture. The interviewer took the thin plastic album, (don't try to push a massive album underneath the glass shield), looked at the pictures asked some questions and made some statements (e.g. Wow you look good in this or that and so on).

It's all matter of how you feel comfortable with the interview. If labeling them makes him/you comfortable, do it. Otherwise this is not a deal breaker. If the IO is suspicious about the candidate they can use any excuse otherwise it would not kill an interview for not labeling the pictures. Specially if you had a traditional wedding you may have tons of pictures, right?

This is not something you should worry much. Jus make sure he is confident and if all is well he will come out of the AP soon. Mentally get yourself ready with the AP - advanced processing. I you haven't, read about AP so you can deal with it if needed.

Good luck

Thank you. Your reply is really inspiring. One thing you bit misunderstand. My husband is petitioner, hope there is no AP for women.

Please pray for us.

In that case, keep dancing

AP is not mandatory for females, even though it's not unheard of. Experience of my wife was really pleasant; however, that isn't the norm as you will hear horrifying stories as well. If you are really prepared and have your papers ready, you should be all good.
